Len
Entrabartolo, pianist and vocalist, lives in Califon, New Jersey. His love of jazz and blues was influenced by Billie Holiday,
Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Jellyroll Morton, and George and Ira Gershwin, to name a few. By 13, Len had settled on playing
the piano and at 16 began playing with local bands. By 19, Len was on the road playing in show bands that backed The Duprees,
The Drifters and The Classics. Returning home, he played in local lounges and clubs. During his college years and for some
years after, he studied classical piano and received a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance.
Today, Len plays the standards of yesterday, blues, and swing. Some of Len's influences
today are Harry Connick, Jr., Diana Krall, Oscar Peterson, Eric Clapton and Brian Setzer.
Len also teaches at his studio in Califon, NJ and plays
at St. Luke Parish in Long Valley, NJ for their Childrens Choir and SAS Choir, the contemporary Christian music
group.
Another side to Len's
musical passion is his love for the music of the Antebellum and Civil War period. Len plays the popular music of Stephen
Foster, Henry Works, Daniel Emmett and others on minstrel banjo and piano with his minstrel group, Mr. Lemuel's Red Mill Serenaders.
